Depends what you mean by classics really.

National Lampoons Vacation and European Vacation are coming.

And if you extend it to musicals, there's Sound of Music.

And there are of course the rumours about Back to the Future, Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park.

Animation has Beauty and the Beast and Fantasia.

So yeah, there are quite a few classics coming to Blu Ray this year, and these are just the ones of the top of my head.

Classics is a very subjective term.

Well if you're thinking about film such as The Nutty Proffesor or Flubber, don't hold your hopes up too high. Although Mrs. Dountfire is out in the US on Blu-ray so naturally it is annoying that it isn't out here and I have no intention of importing.

No, I don't either and it's very frustrating because along with Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire easily my favourite Robin Williams film and I really want badly on BD.

"Hello me dears."

No it's fine, but I think the main reason for these films not coming out on Blu-ray is because they're quite minor films and not really ones that audiences demand for in HD, which is a shame for the ones who do.

Another one here who wants Mrs. Doubtfire, Big Daddy and the Home Alone's on Blu-ray over here.

Big Daddy is listed on Play.com, whether that might mean something:
http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/1...y/Product.html

I contacted Fox a while back (see this thread), they replied and said their are currently no plans to release it, but to check again nearer christmas.

Big Daddy is Sony/Columbia, unfortunately i dont know of any email you can contact and ask them if theirs any release plans.

Also want Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers, which should hopefully get released over here later this year or early next, as they're both available to pre-order in the US, and also a sequel is coming out in cinemas here in December.

Definitely agree on those three, especially Mrs Doubtfire as the US disc is locked. Home Alone 1 & 2 are both region free.

Big Daddy received quite alot of bad reviews/ratings from critics, i never understood why though, its actually one of my fav. comedies.

I guess some just hate Sandler

Guys, you can get Mrs. Doubtfire & Home Alone 1 & 2 from Germany.
I got them from Amazon.de. Home Alone 1 & 2 is a doublepack, with both discs packaged in the same case.

AFAIK, they're exactly the same as the US discs, only the languages are different and the covers are, naturally, in German.

Thanks for the offer, but I really despise imports as I like all my Blu-rays and DVDs to be from one country. It's also a bit of a fag too, having to wait around and all.

Nice for the thought though.
