Default Old School Hand Helds

Alright, who remembers or even have some of the old LED, LCD or even the electro-mechanical handhelds from the 70/80's? I must of had dozens of them and have recently pulled a few out and got them working again. Just a few:

Wow, blast from the past. Whilst I never had any, a friend of mine did. You should probably open a museum!

Nah, I don't have anywhere near enough. I've done some trades with guys that have whole rooms of their house dedicated to them though, they come close to having a museum.

It's amazing how far gaming has come in my lifetime. I must have logged hundreds of hours or more on that football game, and now we have Madden. A friend came over and brought his 9 year old son with him. I handed him the Mattel football game and he spent 5 minutes with it, maybe. That's the problem with todays kids, no imagination.

Damn, why do I feel like this guy?

This may be getting into "new school" territory, but I never understood what the point of Game Boy Purple was....sounded like the lamest gimmick handheld feature ever...let's make it purple and maybe it will sell more?? Was that all there was too it or was it also smaller...I can't remember.

Nope, I'm almost positive it was just called Game Boy Purple...it didn't last long...I'm trying to look it up now. Edit: I'm apparently high and have no idea what I'm talking about because I can't find anything about it anywhere....

In the meantime, I located a picture of the my retro handheld that came with 2 wired controllers that fit inside it...this was the coolest thing I had ever seen at the time:

I have an old B&W Gameboy and a green Gameboy color. I still have a bunch of old Gameboy games. If I break out, I usually play Mortal Kombat, Star Wars, and TETRIS!
