que onda locos...

Pues veo que Mexico se hace presente por aca y me da mucho gusto. Yo soy de La Paz, BCS pero cada mes visito Guadalajara, asi que puedo comprobar como se mueve la marea BLU por allá.

Well, now i'll write in english for all blu-boys of this forum understand what i'm saying.

Maybe a good place to purchase a BLU-Ray player is through the mexican ebay: www.mercadolibre.com.mx There are a lot if importers that live on the border and can get all models at very competitive prices. Even, the PS3 is around US$600-$650 while sony is putting a whooping suggested price of around $900 on local stores in Guadalajara.

The movies instead, i don't think are expensive. At least not comparing the prices of the new releases on DVD. The prices of the first wave of sony blu-rays (with the covers in spanish) are around $25-$28 each. Obviously, we we'll see the format slow moving, and the new releases won't come as fast a as we want, but that's because it's not mainstream yet. I suggest that, in the meanwhile, use amazon. They ships to Mexico without problems and the prices are fantastic.

I saw lying on a corner the xbox hd-dvd addon on a mixup records store in Guadalajara. I asked the store clerk if they had movies for it, and the girl answered me "no, but you can use your normal dvds on it"---aaah, no thanks!

But well, i think this will take some time to the format stablish here in the country completely, but at this right time all things are blu at my eyes.

Saludos a toda la banda mexicana and also greets to the fine people of this forum.
