Buy 300

I was searching around Amazon..

Currently 300 is selling:
Number 2 on HD-dvd
Number 5 on Blu-Ray


WE NEED TO CHANGE THAT!

RE was up at #2 on Amazon for about a week and sold about 1500 copies, so 300 at #2 isn't going to make jack difference in the fact that the blu-ray version has dominated by 100k so far. on top of the fact the blu-ray version isn't far behind at all. most people here already have 300, if you don't then you need to buy it. not for the sake of increasing sales rank, but because the movie is kick ass

I got it the day it came out and bought 2 copies (one for my cousin), if you don't own that movie you really need to get out there and buy it!

Moral of the story....300 on Blu lead back when we were all buying it....now we all have it...so they can be #2.

I don't think Amazons numbers will drastically change the overall lead that the blu-ray version has over the HD DVD version.

Picked up a copy of 300 this week along with POTC 1 and 2. Got the PS3 last week and in addition to the 3 listed above have already ordered Crank, Planet Earth, Casino Royale and Shooter. Going to be a big Visa bill

Do the PS3s only hook up to HDTVs? I have the xbox (with no HD drive) but it hooks up to a regular tv.

I'm pretty sure it hooks up to regular TV, but I haven't tried it. Very happy with it's quality as a BD player. Will eventually get games

The PS3 has all the standard video connectors, so yes, you could hook it up to a standard definition CRT if you really wanted to (I can't imagine why you would do so, but nothing's stopping you).

As of 300, it's one of the few recent blockbusters that I thought was somewhat overrated (personal opinion). It's got good cinematography, but the grain is a bit over-the-top and the characters weren't terribly likable. Reminds me of Titanic in more ways than one.

Definitely not a title I'd add to my personal collection, though I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who will want it (and hey, with Amazon's buy 2 get 1 free, it can be had for a song now).
