Default $8 and $10 Blus are killing me

Hey,

I used to buy just about any Blu Ray when it was $10 new but for the moment there are way too many deals.

I think Walmart has over a hundred titles under $10. Many are not in the stores but you can have them sent to the store for free.

I don't think I'll have anything left for Black Friday this year as they are just too many deals everywhere.

Anyways,.. As far as troubles go this is a problem I like having.

Edit - Wallmart has 268 Blu Ray titles under $10.

http://www.walmart.com/cp/Blu-ray-under-10/1074584

edit #2 Best Buy has 200+ titles under $10 as well

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstempl...A%3E1900-01-01

The Best Buy horror sale is obliterating my checking account. But like you said, as problems go this is a good one to have.

I had the same problem but came to the decision to only pull the trigger on BDs that are 70% or more off of retail. 69% and under I won't bite anymore.

Only exceptions are: exceptional BD series sets...those rarely if ever go under 70%...60-65% will work and I'm pretty picky...must have movies that I would walk across broken glass to buy on release day (I think there's like 5 that qualify for me).

(Sorry if that's not meant to be funny I just find it hilarious.)

I never consider the full price or MSRP. But I've got to draw the line somewhere so maybe I should.

Yeah, there are a lot of good deals around with more to come. I still have 200 Blus in my price tracker. There're a bunch of Criterions that I want to buy, but I am waiting for $19.99 on those.

I'm picking that one up today, with Orphan, Black Christmas and supposedly the limited edition of Evil Dead. Then I'm done.

Yeah right.

The British import of Let the Right One In is more expensive than the American blu ray, but I think it's worth it. I have the American blu and I'm buying the British one, the American one has almost no special features, and the features it has are no good. Just IMO. And I love the deals too. I'll check out Walmart today cause my stepdad got a 25 dollar giftcard he gave me.

Well...seeing as you have an active collector judging by the size of your library you might want to consider it.

Unless you're independently wealthy.

Me personally I have a limited budget. I pretty much watch the bluray.com site for 70% and greater blu-ray pricing.

I buy BDs almost every week that meet my criteria. You'd be surprised

It means I won't get the latest releases that are usually 20-50% off...but that's okay cause I know I'm saving hundreds of dollars per year and I'm buying stuff that, most of the time, will have repeat viewing value.

Wow, your right it's backordered. I swear it was available earlier in the week when I checked. Guess I should have jumped on it.

Oh well, guess I'll bite on the Thirteen Ghosts/House of Wax Double Feature and order Black Christmas. Can't have that cash sitting in my pocket after all.

Thanks for the link.... That's pretty cool. There's a lot of nice features on this website that I never setup like price tracking and all that.

Then again... It's going to be even harder for me when I know about all the great deals.

Totally know what you guys mean. But you know, in another few months, most Blus will be $10-$12. $12 isn't even bad, but just like DVD, prices will stay steady at an affordable rate. I'm just scared of Black Friday!

I'll support any company that gives me the exact same product at a cheaper price. I'll leave all the drama to the on"whine" blogs and forums.

I hear that.

Let's not trash successful American companies that bring low cost BD candy to us the junkies of blu-ray.com

Yeah, I'm going to order Black Christmas as well. I know it's backordered, but that's about the only choice I have right now, unless Amazon price matches BB.

I keep seeing the 13 ghost/wax double feature and still haven't picked it up yet. Both are lower grade horror movies, but I like em just the same.

I still need to buy Carrie to upgrade my DVD. ugh... Never had this problem in 2007/8

Wal-Mart sucks for 8-10 dollar blu-rays sadly, but Best Buy I think is ok with taht.
