Yeah, I'm going to order Black Christmas as well. I know it's backordered, but that's about the only choice I have right now, unless Amazon price matches BB.

I keep seeing the 13 ghost/wax double feature and still haven't picked it up yet. Both are lower grade horror movies, but I like em just the same.

I still need to buy Carrie to upgrade my DVD. ugh... Never had this problem in 2007/8

Wal-Mart sucks for 8-10 dollar blu-rays sadly, but Best Buy I think is ok with taht.

I stopped at WM after a movie ("Secretariat") Friday & saw a New bin set-up with $10 Blurays, & bought five: DAREDEVIL/Director's Cut, GHOST RIDER/Extended Cut, COURAGE UNDER FIRE, THE SIEGE, & THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN. I've read the Audio is Outstanding in "Daredevil" (& I "know" the movie's not top-notch but it's decent enough), & the Audio's also supposed to be very good on Ghost Rider & Courage Under Fire.

I'll check out & "support" () ANY place that has $10 bluray's.

Are you saying that because Blu-ray are sold at $8 or $10 you need to buy them all? Future Shop as tons of Blu-ray movies at below $14 some at $9 here in Montreal and most of them I would not want to have them even if they gave them to me.

Do you guys buy movies just beause they are cheap? I am just wondering, most of them time I only buy the movies I truly want but I know not everyone will be like me. I buy Criterion during some sales that might happen either at Barnes & Noble or Amazon but if a Criterion is coming out for example Seven Samurai in 2 weeks, I want it and getting it that day. I suppose getting a movie at $30 might seem a bit strange but I might not be buying as many movies as some of you so it might be the difference right there.

I can only speak for myself. For me, I found a couple of titles that I've been interested in for a while, but were reluctant to purchase due to their previous price points. I think the $10 mark is the sweet spot for those looking to fill gaps in their collection.

For me, i only buy a movie that i really like. If there's a bunch of POS at 5$ i won't buy any of them. And sometime i take the chance with new release at full price..

Thanks Brian, but that was more of a Preemptive Strike against any "Daredevil?! That movie blows!" comments that may have followed. I think the movie is pretty good, but also feel it could have been a whole lot better. IF/When they make a 2nd one, (which I think they Are gearing up for), let's All hope they get it right the 2nd time around.

Couldn't agree more. At or Near the $10 range is more likely to make me revisit the movie as well.

I looked at the list and I have 3 of the listed movies. I did not see any others that I wanted. I'll stick to films that appeal to me at a cost within reason.

I haven't bought much this month. I got Beauty and the Beast since it was part of that Amazon deal with Christmas Carol. I also got Zombie's Halloween and Halloween II plus the AvP two pack since it's October. I'm predicting Clash of the Titans, Iron Man 2, Robin Hood, How to Train Your Dragon, Predators, Get Him to the Greek, and The Karate Kid for 10 bucks on Black Friday, as well as a bunch of 5-8 dollar catalog titles...so basically I'm saving up.

To clear up my view... I don't buy stuff just because it's cheap.

I buy it because I want it and if it's cheap that can have an effect on if I want it or not.

If a movie I want is $10 or less on Blu then it's a buy for me.

Best Buy's current sales have lots of $9.99 titles that I want. I can't go get them all but there's a lot there that I want.

Hope that clears it up. I may buy something because it's cheap but then it has to be stupid cheap like the $3 and $4 used Blu Rays I sometimes find at Newbury Comics. The Happening is an example of this. It was stupid cheap. I don't like the movie but for $3... I'll take it and may get in the mood to revisit it someday if only to laugh at it.
