Default The BLU pack leads in FRANCE!!

Encouraging news from France!

In an article published by French news-site DVDRAMA it appears that the Blu-pack has taken the lead there as well. As of August 19, 2007 Blu-Ray leads in market sales with 58% to respectively 42% for HDDVD.

Total number of discs: 176 516 (101.863 Blu-Ray versus 74.653 HD-DVD)

Total numbers of titles released on the French market: (128 Blu-Ray versus 108 HD-DVD).

Tried to read the article but no comprevous. Glad to see were whippin' it everywhere. The format war is bad for next gen. It's time for the weakling to shrivel up and die.

Like this post alot.

I always thought that France was the mekka of HD DVD.

People were writing that the little french production houses where all in favour of HD DVD.

Maybe now they will realise they ll have to change the bandwagon.

PS: I live in Belgium, neigbour of France.... and was so wrong... lucky me

so france used to be heavily in favor of hd dvd and now blu-ray is winning even where hd dvd had a stronghold? i don't see why anybody keeps pumping money into this format (hd dvd)

Default taxi 4 going to be blu-ray too

ya they are gonna release taxi 4 too in Blu-ray (taxi was remade by the US in the horrible adaptation TAXI with queen latiffa)

this is good news .. the TAXI franchise is prety good. (well actually the first 1 the 3 other are mehhh)

no impact on english speaking people but will have a good one in France.
it should consolidate the advance Blu-ray has.

good news
