Default PCM alive and Kicking my ass!

Reporting back as requested from last Friday. Thank you blu camp for your help on showing me how to get PCM uncompressed lossless audio. (just had it hooked up wrong and without the HDMI cable) HDMI from blu player to receiver, HDMI from receiver to TV for best picture available. You guys were right about the increased clarity and the surrounds pumping out more juice. Oh man this is amazing! I had to demo a bunch of BDs yesterday checking out the new sound. Very Impressive! Hate to use this particular phrase, but for my lacking a high brow statement of excitement, "THIS ROCKS!" You guys are the best and thank you again for all your help.

New Onkyo 805 THX.
Had one HDMI going from Blu player straight to the TV and a component to the reciever. Thought I was rockin until I played gone in 60 seconds in PCM and the sound was terrible. The DD 5.1 sounded far better, so I brought the question up last friday and recieved a lot of support, help and info from the campers. Thanks All!

Glad to see everything's working and you're enjoying it. I don't really get the people who dismiss PCM by saying "There's not that big of a difference," because to me, it was night and day. If you're a fan of Nine Inch Nails, you should check out Beside You In Time, their live Blu-ray release. It's cheap, and the TrueHD track sounds amazing.

Thanks again BStecke! Added a whole new dimension not only the sound, but the entire veiwing experience! Great Job! PCM was even an improvement over the THX in my opinion!
