We at Bollywood Entertainment Ltd are releasing our on bought movies on blu ray format as well as doing Joint Venture's with Bollywood Distributors from around the world to manufacture more bollywood blu-ray content .

And I don't know if anyone here has mentioned this. Please send a message to producers and distributors to keep the price down. No Bollywood movie should be prioced above £15 in UK.

Lower price will definitely boost sales and the format will grow otherwise ppl will not buy expensive Blu rays...

CCTC was a Terrible Movie! So Was Jab we Met, I'd like to see some of the older films, but most of them never will... I'd love Kabhi Khushi Khabi Ghum, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, oh! and Border!

For the love of God... PLEASE release a high quality transfer (no DNR, no edge enhancement, with Doly TrueHD audio) of Dostana on Blu-Ray. I would buy that in an instant! Why do we NOT have it already???

You see thats my problem with Bollywood right now they put out quantity instead of quality and it seem that the Blu-ray market will be no different, with some of the films that Bollywood as that many people love why not release some or a movie that people would buy.

For sure. DNR (digital noise reduction) and EE (edge enhancement) could (or would) ruin a blu-ray transfer. These evils, IMO, should not be used. If used, it should be done in a control manner and must be applied by an expert (on HD and blu-ray) who knows what they are doing.

Ayngaran's Villu has set a new benchmark in Indian blu-rays. If other studios follow this example, they also can produce excellent quality world-class blu-rays.

This type of activity can certainly be considered as price-fixing which could attract harsh penalties. It is okay to be a sole distributor for a single studio. However, if all Bollywood blu-rays are distributed through a single control-point distributor, that control-point could set the prices for the whole Indian blu-ray industry and that will be considered as price-fixing.

Competition is healthy for both consumer and the industry and for sure all western countries have appropriate legislation to avoid any action that negates competition.

we are trying to get more and more bollywood blu ray movies out there so have asked people who cant afford to release them to sell us the rights so we can manufacture and get them out there as alot of bollywood distributors dont understand the blu ray format and are not taking it .
as stated by above post we are only copmpy who si pushunf blu ray worldwide ,hence trying to get more movies out there ,if that is called a monopoly of the market then i suggest synguy you try and get the indian distributors to release more on blu ray ,we are working closely with all parties and are trying to get blu ray down to at least £15 in uk and $25 in usa .somebody has to make a stand and try nad push the bollyblu market

also prices are dictated by cost of film rights and manufacturing cost of blu ray and qty so cannot be fixed,

all depands on how many units are made

currently all new releases only 1500-3000 units are made worldwide on all new bolly blu ray movies so price will obviosuly be high due to cost of replication and authoring .


if we could sell around 10,000 or more units then we can see the price drop to £10-£15 retail on each movie .
