Does Beetlejuice BD on Amazon have slipcase/bonus disc? - Blu-ray Forum

Or do they not make that version anymore? They have a slightly different/plain cover photo, so I assume they don't. But I thought I'd make sure. Thanks.

Mine has the slipcover and bonus disc but I got it at Best Buy. It was awhile ago that I bought it so I can't remember if that was exclusive to BB or not. You could try there as they might have some copies left. The bonus disc is just a CD sampler from the soundtrack. Kinda worthless really.

Thanks but Best Buy is way too expensive. It's $16.49 on Amazon, but even at that price it's still a bit higher than what I'd usually pay for a BD.

Best Buy has it for $14.99 right now, which is less than you can get it for at most retailers.

My BB had two copies both had no slipcover so I didn't bother.

This kind of question is the reason why I get anxious about how long to wait before buying a new title that I'm halfway interested in owning. I like the slipcovers and other bells and whistles they market BDs with. But there's a definite judgment call and strategy to waiting and watching out for deals so I can try and stretch my dollars. I bought my Beetlejuice BD on Amazon first week, it has the slipcover and bonus disc, but not for the $14.95 that BB apparently has it for now.

I totally agree that Best Buy can be more expensive than Amazon, especially if an item is not on sale. I was just providing a possible way to get the edition that you are looking for. My local Best Buy often has stuff on the shelf that's been there awhile. As an example you can still get some of the Bond Steelbooks at my store.

Since somebody mentioned that Beetlejuice is on sale for $14.99 I think it might be worth your time to check out all nearby stores. You may get lucky and find one that still has a copy of the slipcase version.

Even if the Beetlejuice BD is missing the slipcover, it still comes with the CD sampler. Its a BD exclusive "special feature" and is listed on the artwork.

Checked my local BB and they did have the one w/the slip cover (last one too), and I bought it for $14.99. I'm still wondering if Amazon will price match later this week (Yeah, I'm cheap

) but it's a nice set so it's still a good deal. Also picked up The Matrix for the same price. Thanks everyone.

I'm going back to Best Buy tomorrow to exchange Return to House on Haunted Hill and will get Beetlejuice

BTW, the BB I went had a small section of these advertised BD movies on sale $14.99 and there's plenty of Beetlejuice with slip covers available.

Mine either, then again I've never slipped and fallen in a store before. Mine has both the CD and the lenticular slip cover but I got it from BB.

The Beetlejuice blu in Canada never came with the slipcover (or Anniversary banner even), jusy fyi. Wouldn't be surprised if the sampler & cover disappear in the US soon enough too.

Can't say for Amazon but my Best Buy (Bailey's Crossroads, VA) had plenty with the groovy slipcover, they were on a special display w/ the other Warner Blu titles on sale!
