Default Why are Saw and Ultraviolet the theatrical editions?

How come the BR editions of Saw and Ultraviolet are going to be the theatrical editions rather than the DC?

So their studios can re-release them as extended cuts later on. Their hope is that we'll buy them again (and again).

Is it also that they don't want to risk launching with unrated titles?

That sucks. Well, I have no plans to buy an theatrical versions when Saw has an uncut version out, and Ultraviolet was utter garbage. I'llw ait until Sony releases the 2 hour version of Ultraviolet that Kurt did.
