Friends on Blu - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone know if/when friends is coming to blu-ray. since it is one of my favourite shows and i figured it would be a good use for the new 100 gig disk!!

It was one of the titles on the 'mistake' WB list a month or two ago. So fans are hoping for it, just nothign officially announced yet.

It was an NBC show so there may be some trouble there.

I believe Warner Home Video has the DVD distribution rights.

NBC aired it, but they don't own it. Warner Bros. Television hold the rights to it.

It would be funny if there was a episode on friends where chandler watching Sharks on BD before Monica caught him masturbating in Oklahoma!

lol thats in series 10 aint it. WB which is exclusive to blu isnt it so it should be realised at some point

WB is not blu exclusive, they are neutral.

yes.. Warner Brothers released all box sets on DVD. But why would you want that in High-Def..? The episodes were shot 1.33:1 so youd get a cropped widescreen version.. you'd better stick with your DVDs and watch them as they were intended to be watched in the first place ;D
