Talking Alien Origin (2012)

LOL, no, it's not connected to the epic Alien series. It's The Asylum's mockbuster of Prometheus. I wonder how zany this will be...

Synopsis from The Asylum's website:

Quote:
Recently discovered footage from a lost military expedition exposes a horrifying truth about the genesis of life on earth.

Since these are really cheap movies with a quick shooting schedule and arguably not much time dedicated to writing an actual script or rehearsal, they can pump these "mockbusters" out pretty fast. They also have Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies and a Snow White movie coming out.

Not sure how well they're doing anymore with the demise of the video rental store where they get a lot of confused people actually thinking they're renting the big studio movie that's still in theaters. I guess there's still Netflix and Redbox, but those people are usually somewhat educated enough to look up something on the internet... aren't they?

Well it is Fox. They probably wanted to call it Alien Origin: Wolverine.

I love these guys, they are absolutely shameless when it comes to ripping off other movies and properties! They actually got into trouble when they started developing a film based on one of Robert E Howard's Conan stories, only to get a warning from Conan Properties Inc due to Conan being a trademark, even though most of Howard's stories are in the public domain.

They're pimping them out to Redbox. Everything, well almost everything, from 2011 showed up at Redbox and they would actually be rented and out of stock.

The level of shamelessness the Asylum has I find to be respectable. I'm excited for this.

That's a dirty insult to the Asylum. Their films are all infinitely better than the prequels.

I'm watched this. Atrocious. Even for an Asylum film. Nothing happened...

Abraham Lincoln Vs. Zombies was a pretty good film. Bill Obesrt Jr. gave a great performance as Lincoln. If you like seeing American presidents fighting paranormal enemies I recommend renting it.
