The 1962 Arch Hall exploitation epic EEGAH-THE NAME WRITTEN IN BLOOD (1962) has been given a fresh transfer for Blu-ray and will be released on November 26, 2019.

The disc will feature a brand-new interview with Arch Hall, Jr., and will also present the Mystery Science Theater version of the film.

Although nowhere near as good as the Hall film THE SADIST (aka SWEET BABY CHARLIE), nevertheless EEGAH is a popular title for bad film aficionados.

I don't honestly know the answer. If they used them before, they might still be using them, but that's a guess.

Page linked above said "pressed" before, I'm like 99% sure of it. Now page makes no mention and shop link states BD-R. :/

This particular release is a co-production with Shout Factory and Something Weird, and it will be a limited run of 1500 pressed discs. Something Weird confirmed that it was pressed and not BD-R on Facebook.

It's described as a 4K restoration, so it will hopefully look better than the public domain copies floating around.

Good to hear that it will be pressed.

The link for the preorder says in several places that it's a BD-r. I want to be sure it's pressed before I send them my money.

They seemed to use a work-in-progress version of the restoration for the 2017 MST3K live tour and it looked vastly better than anything available before. Great color. While this is a terrible movie, it's a lot of fun on its own. One reason why I think it's one of the best episodes of MST3K since it's not so awful it bogs everything down (like The Creeping Terror).
