TX-SR705 vs. TX-SR805 - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone compared these 2 units? Other than the 805 having more power, does the 805 have better sound quality over the 705, particularly with the lossless audio formats? I'm not interested in features between the two, I just want to know if the 805 has better sound quality. Thanks.

The 805 is not going to make any lossless audio tracks sound better than the 705. If your speakers are more than 100 watts, then you will get more watts per channel out of the 805, but as far as one making the audio tracks sound better...No, that is all in your speakers, good speakers will make a crappy receiver sound good.
