Apparently Disney has finally corrected the framing issue on POTC:COTBP and will "soon" be issuing replacements. Good deal.

That's good news about the replacement discs. I've avoided watching the film since I heard of the framing issue so I wouldn't get flaming mad when I watched.

It's not THAT noticeable. If you know exactly where to look you'll see it, but I wouldn't let it put me off of watching the movie.

I watched it twice before the framing issue came up and never noticed, but I read up on it so I know where it is. I'm the type of person where it will stick indelibly to my brain if I watch it now. If I do I'll be viewing the replacement disc and my suspension of disbelief/immersion in the film will be broken by my mind telling me "hey that's the part they botched & fixed". It's not like I don't have tons of other BDs to watch in the meantime

I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down. I think about it every time I watch it too. But at the same time, when I get the replacement, I'll always think "This is the part that WAS screwed up." Disney has ruined my enjoyment of this movie forever!!!!

I watched the movie on Blu-ray and didn't even notice the framing problem. However, I'll probably go in for the replacement disc since (now that I know the problem exists) I'm certain to notice the problem in future views. I'll add my kudos to Disney for their corrective actions.

my question is... when can we actually buy these? I was holding off on purchasing because of this.

they said they are putting them out to be put on shelves. I assume they will be replacing the existing "faulty" discs on the shelves as well as the purchased ones.
