Question I saw Gladiators on DVD for the first time, and...

I saw Gladiators on BD for the first time on display on some store, it was the samsung BD player and it was displayed on some philips LCD screen(around 40") and i must say i was extremely dissapointed, if it wasn't for the BD player sitting under the screen, i would have thought it's running off a standard DVD player.

I'm a big BD supporter, and i would like to know is Gladiators is one of the moviews running on MPEG2 an not VC1? i mean that would be the only reason i could think of that would make the picture quality like standard DVD quality.

so what do you guys think? and is Gladiators is an MPEG2 or VC1 movie?

thanks!
