The Stepford Wives: 1974 and 2004 versions...

I just finished watching the 1975 version of "The Stepford Wives", and when it comes to comparing it to the 2004 Nicole Kidman remake, I prefer the remake a lot more than the original! At least the remake was offbeat at best. I'm sorry to say this to anyone who liked the 1974 "Stepford" film, but that's my opinion, and I'm not ashamed to say it either.

It's no longer tied. The Frank Oz remake is a piece of Shit.
The Forbes 1975 version is an underrated gem.

When will it get a proper BD Release?

The 1974 original is far better than the 2005 remake. The remake is a mess -- the story is chaotic and doesn't even make sense!! The ending is a cop-out! The latter film reeks of executive interference.

I don't remember much of the original one. I think Catherine Ross was very pretty then so i like that about the movie. Have not seen the re-make.

The 1974 version has more suspense and intrigue. The remake is all over the place at the end.
