Wow, October is going to be just as expensive as September. Really want this, but the way releases are shaping up, early November would have worked better for my wallet.

I'll wait on this. It wasn't bad, it wasn't great...I'd still like to see it again though. It's strange... it's a comedy but the drama in it is better than the comedy is.

Typical indie limited release (I believe). Came and went.

I actually think I'll pass on this one. I liked it, it was touching. More likable as a drama than a comedy. I know I'll see it again at some point, but not frequently enough to own.

I was always interested in watching this but never actually came to any theaters by me, if it did I know it didn't last longer than a week. The concept behind it seems interesting though.

I'll probably pick this one up. I liked it when I saw it in theaters. I'm sure I know this movie isn' for everyone. Meaning they thought it be more funnier
[Show spoiler]or how the movie ends. But as I said i liked the movie enough to want to buy it.

My theatre was only half full on opening night for this, but it ended up being a surprisingly dark and touching dramedy. The first half is more comedy and the second more drama filled, but there are still bits and pieces of each in each half. More than likely a day 1 buy for me.

Just watched this at a friends house (I'm sure you can figure out how he got it), and I can back up that it was pretty good as well. I'll likely pick it up at some point. Great little indie flick.

Just saw this on Netflix, and while it was certainly decent, I can't say that it was better than the Canadian movie that inspired it, Last Night by Don McKellar. That one is only available on iTunes Canada for some reason... I've got a pan and scan DVD of it and would absolutely want to watch it again now, to see again how these two different filmmakers told the same story.

Regarding Seeking a Friend, I too wish the end had been different.

Thumbs up

I didn't really blind buy this, as I had seen it two or three times before on the premium channels, but for whatever reason this last viewing made me want to buy it. Great movie, and I'm a huge fan of Steve Carell for sure, but his acting chops sure have shined as of late in movies like this one, Dan in Real Life and Dreamcatcher. It also changed my mind about Keira as I'd really only seen her in a couple of movies (mainly the PotC series). She's simply stunning in this.

There are three scenes in this movie that are so powerful for me.
[Show spoiler]The beach, the scene where he sends her off with his father, and obviously the end.
Having Martin Sheen in this was pleasant surprise.

Default I really enjoyed this a lot

I picked this up as a blind buy for $1 at Dollar Tree.

I was very pleased by this. Nice to see SC in a more understated piece of comedic acting. KK was charming and of course pretty.

Nice message at the end.

The beach scene was also very tranquil and satisfying for me.
