Tower Heist Blu-ray Review

I was just transferring the Jurassic Park digital copy to my new iPad (squee) when I noticed a ticket at the bottom of the PocketBlu app that said Tower Heist comes to Blu-ray February 21st.

not a bad movie. Alan Alda made a great villain.

Yeah, I saw this listed on Walmart's site a while ago. Never seen it, but i'd watch it.

I recommend this movie for $9.99-14.99

Eddie Murphy does not appear in most of the movie, so only buy this movie if you like Stiller comedies.

This was was in my GB when it was in the high $20's. Then it dropped to $19.99 as a pre-order (but wouldn't show up in my GB for $18.99). Now it's up to $22.99. Hope it drops again.

Watched the Blu-ray last night. Looks and sounds pretty damn good! Decent flick, too.

It was an ok film, but I wasn't overly impressed. Bargain bin for me.

For me it was better than expected, but yeah, it wasnt fantastic or anything. I was entertained though.

I'll probably rent it as I enjoyed my theater viewing. I would at least recommend that.

I doubt I would ever buy it though.

I'm so happy that this one comes with a black border on the side rather than the bright blue that seems to be on and off with Universal titles. I know that the spine of a slip-cover isn't really that important, but it really looks nice on the shelf

Just watched this with low expectations and found it to pretty funny and entertaining. I sold off the DVD/digital copy, so I only have $5 or so invested anyways. Pretty solid blind buy.

Sometimes it's the small things that count, like alphabetical order and black spine slips

I though the ending ruined it but then I heard there were alternate endings on the blu ray so I'm curious on to what they are.

This is pretty much the definition of mediocre. Surprisingly boring and not funny. Hard to believe, but I'd rather see Rush Hour 4.

I probably wouldn't like this movie because, I'm not a Ben Stiller fan. I don't like his movies!

I know what you mean, but he's relatively tame in this one. Much more of an ensemble comedy than he usually makes. If you were thinking of renting it, I'd say go ahead.

That being said, I find it difficult to recommend any comedy as a blind-buy because people have such varying tastes in what is funny.
