Do you add a blu-ray to your collection once you've pre-ordered it?

Or do you add it once you physically have it? I ask this because I just pre-ordered Blood Rage & the Mutilator through amazon, but since I don't get charged until they ship it doesn't feel right adding them just yet.

I never count my chickens until the eggs are hatched. I wait until the Blu-ray is in my hand before I add it to my collection. I usually add them to this site as soon as they've arrived in the mail or as soon as I take them home from a store, and right after I've removed the shrink wrap to check the contents.

I never pre-order anything that isn't out yet, but I do add movies I order that won't be in my hands for another few days. I have to, because otherwise I'll forget to do it when it shows up in the mail.

I also check "watched" for everything, so I won't have that annoying "NEW" tag sticking out on some of them.

I add them under the "ordered" category.

I add everything when I preorder it. Only because I kow Ill forget to do it later on and its just easier for me to remember to do it right after I order it.

I immediately add it as ordered. Then as soon as it is delivered and opened I switch it to owned.

You can even create custom categories.

This. Add it to my ordered category as soon as I order it and leave it on the front page of my collection. That way I won't forget what I have ordered and double order things.

Yes, I add them when I preorder. Although for my preorder of Burn, Witch, Burn I did add it to the "Ordered" list.

I put it in a seperate category but yes it still counts in the collection total.

I sometimes put it into the wishlist section which does not count the Blu-ray as owned. However, I never put a Blu-ray or DVD in my collection until it's in my hands.

You can always create a custom ordered/preordered category if you don't want it to count in your collection count too.

I suppose it doesn't really matter, but myself, I only add the movie once it's arrived and I have it in my hands.

Yep. Whether I pre-order it or just order it, I immediately add it to my collection. I'm impatient, it needs to happen.

I add a Blu-Ray/DVD to the ordered section when I order a couple of them online from Amazon or when ordering Blu-Rays off HMV's website. I then add them to the owned section when I have them posted out to me & opened to see the contents.

If I bought a Blu-ray in a brick & mortar store; I will add it on to my owned collection straight away as soon as I bring it home after opening it.
