Default Tales of Halloween (Anthology). Oct.2015

Deadline is reporting that Epic Pictures Group is producing a new horror anthology titled “Tales of Halloween” from the creative mind of Axelle Carolyn. The film will center on a suburban community that is besieged by ghouls, aliens, and killers all on Halloween night. And, in the spirit of anthology films, all these separate tales will somehow be connected.

“Tales of Halloween” will feature ten different stories and handling these stories will be eleven directors. Among them include Neil Marshall (“The Descent”), Darren Bousman (“Saw 2-4″), Mike Mendez (“Big Ass Spider!”), Joe Begos (“Almost Human”), Andrew Kasch (“Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy”), Adam Gierasch (“Night of the Demons”), Paul Solet (“Grace”), John Skipp, Ryan Schifrin (“Abominable”), Axelle Carolyn (“Soulmate”), and Dave Parker (“The Hills Run Red”).

Shooting is expected to begin next month and I have to imagine they’re going to try and put this one out by Halloween next year.

Very interesting. I hope it's along the lines of Trick 'r Treat.

Love Halloween themed movies but I'm quite disappointed they couldn't get better genre film-makers though.

Imagine a line-up of Roth, Wan, Carpenter, Argento, Craven, Romero etc... I've missed some I know.

I'd be MUCH more excited.

Nonetheless, it will be something I look forward to.

Agree that the choice of directors leaves a lot to be desired but this still sounds like loads of fun. I'm a sucker for anthology flicks.

I'm presuming that each of the ten stories will only last for about 10 mins or so?

(unless this horror film will have an unusually long running time)

Seems like quite a short amount of time for each individual story.

The good thing is, no one has any time to waste in a 10-15 minute short. Horror is always better with a time limit, and 10 segments means if you don't like one, another one will be along shortly. If they keep a Halloween theme as a throughline and don't just give us typical 'haunt' stuff, there's a decent chance it'll be worthwhile.

It sounds cool, but all of these movies that are short stories from several directors tend to end up being crap. This reminds me of that god awful ABCs of Death movie. Man that thing was garbage.

Just saw the trailer and, man, does this look like a bloody (pun intended) good time. I'm always game for holiday-themed movies, especially Halloween.

I love horror movies, Halloween movies, and anthology movies. This looks like it's in the same vein of Trick r Treat, so I'm in! Some of it looks like B movie fun. Hope it's a good time.

I am just glad they aren't putting it out in August like so many horror movies get dumped during and then are gone by Oct.
