Man Chugs Liter of Vodka instead of giving it to TSA!!! - Blu-ray Forum

The incident occurred at the Nuremberg airport on Tuesday, where the 64-year-old man was switching planes on his way home to Dresden from a holiday in Egypt.

New airport rules prohibit passengers from carrying larger quantities of liquid onto planes, and he was told at a security check he would have to either throw out the bottle of vodka or pay a fee to have his carry-on bag checked as cargo.

Instead, he chugged the bottle down - and was quickly unable to stand or otherwise function, police said.

A doctor called to the scene determined he had possibly life-threatening alcohol poisoning, and he was sent to a Nuremberg clinic for treatment.

The man, whose name was not released, is expected to be able to complete his journey home in a few days.

Mmmmmm.... vodka. Not much of a drinker anymore, but that is my drink of choice.

Also, is it just me or do security guards in airports not have a sense of humour? I was flying home and had just bought a bottle of coke (591mL). It was unopened, but they wouldn't let me take it past the security check area. So I preceded to open it, chug about half of it and ask if it was now at an acceptable volume to proceed, and I got quite an unfriendly response in return.

It could have something to do with all it taking is once for them to go soft and not check something or let something pass and the next thing you know some crazy a@@hole presses a button and the plane your in disinigrates with you inside it, would you rather have that to chance or laying down a 1.10 bottle of coke?

There only doing there job, and if you want to see strict try going through a airport in Israel.
