Hugely underrated film!
Glad to see it coming to UHD, Roger Michell was an unsung master, there are tons of gems in his filmography. |

They can slap all this 4K OCN badge but with all this blatant grain management by Paramount I am seeing on iTunes what's the point ? Yes the disc will be better but this grain management has to stop. Either this is some company policy or the people doing the job don't like grain and consistent look.
Not implying this looks bad but I truly hope Paramount stops messing with the grain. |

They should give us the original theatrical version. Wasn't there like five seconds more dialog from Affleck in the confessional? I know the home video presentations have always had that slightly weird edit when he says "let 'em rip" but it's been over twenty years so I can't remember exactly what Michell cut or why.

Can you describe the change in a bit more detail and tell us where in the film it happens? Thanks! |

According to IMDB there are extended scenes as bonuses on the home video versions which includes the confession scene but zero indication of the theatrical version being different than what's on home video.

I meant Paramount going the extra mile with degraining as opposed to what we see from Sony / Boutiques who grain manage tastefully.
