Default Weird Question

This is kind of hard to explain but when I'm playing PS3 games on my SHARP AQUOS 42" HD LCD tv, when I move the camera around there are little line flashes that show up on the screen. (See what I mean about being hard to explain).

It's not blurry or anything it just kind of looks like someone is fast forwarding it or something. Is this normal with PS3 games?? I mean I don't notice it on movies or regualr t.v.

I have noticed it on uncharted and assasins creed. I wish I could show you guys so you knew what I was talking about. Shouldn't everything be nice and clean?? not with like lines flashing??

Now I know that Assasins Creed has effects on the camera because it's like all physcodelic but that's not what I'm noticing. I just didn't know if this was common with LCD'S or maybe it's just the t.v??

Thanks

i had a sharp aquos and i noticed that when the camera would move (especially on greens and browns) the whole screen would seem to be flashing, does this sound like your problem. by the way i went through two of them, realized it was the tv and got a samsung.

Is what you're seeing a single horizontal line that seems to flicker briefly then disappear, as if the image had split into two parts for just a split-second?

You may be seeing "screen tearing" - it's a phenomenon that occurs in certain games that's a result of the game's graphics engine not because of the TV.

Uncharted did it all the time on both my Wega and my XBR - it's a well-know graphics glitch with that game's engine. I'm not sure of Assassin's Creed since I don't have it.

ff750, yes that is exactly what I'm talking about, good call! I'm just glad to hear that it is not my t.v. I didn't think it was since it never happened on blu rays or regular hd tv.

thanks
