There are few things Kevin Smith loves more than hinting at the expansion of his various cinematic universe – from the world of “Yoga Hosers” to “Clerks” and even a seemingly burgeoning “Hit Somebody” franchise – and now it looks like the indie auteur is about to push one of his trademark hits into a whole different medium: Television. During an radio appearance this morning on Philadelphia radio station 93.3 WMMR, Smith announced that his long-teased sequel to “Mallrats” will now be a ten-episode television series. Details are otherwise slim, but Smith has often hinted at his interest in revisiting the world of mallrating, and television will certainly offer up a chance to explore it even further. |
