Synopsis
The final season of the series begins where season seven ended, with the sisters having to live under false identities to be free of demons. Each sister remains unhappy and eventually decides to return to their Charmed lives. Paige, however, begins helping a young witch named Billie, who eventually discovers the sisters' magical secrets but agrees to keep them under wraps in exchange for witchcraft training. The sisters also help Billie search for her sister Christy, whom she thinks was abducted by a demon years before. In the sisters' love lives, Paige begins dating Henry Mitchell, Phoebe is sent a Cupid to help her find love and Piper and Leo have marital problems as he adjusts to his new life as a human. Once Billie reunites with Christy at the end of the season, it is apparent that Christy has been brainwashed into thinking the sisters are evil and convinces Billie of the same. They set out to tarnish the Halliwells' reputation, forcing the sisters to get stuck in the underworld. In the series finale, Piper and Leo travel back in time to prevent the destruction of Piper's sisters and of the manor.

CBS uses the Disc Masters from Koch Germany since Season 3.
Because of that its safe to say that the theme song is changed like it was on the dvds.

But i can live with that because its only for season 8 and it was like that since dvd.

The other problem of the Season 8 blu rays is that some of the used Songs in the Episodes are the streaming ones instead of the original ones.
The German Audio Track is fine. The English one sometimes has the streaming music. And like i said: CBS is using the Koch Disc Masters. So it will be the same on the Season 8 MOD Release.

All in all it really could be worse.
The Depeche Mode alternative song by Orbit Monkey is the worst of the bunch because the vibe of the songs are so extremely different. Otherwise the replacements are ok and dont harm anything. Especially if youre not familiar with the show.
Luckily there werent a lot of songs used in Season 8 and most of them are not at all important to the story or mood (in my opinion). Of course cbs was lazy again and things like that shouldnt happen.

Maybe if enough fans complain they correct it for the MOD Release in the USA.

I could be wrong but I think season 8 originally aired with the original theme changed as the show was initially planned for only seven seasons and the rights to the theme song expired.

Yes, it aired without the original theme song so there is no reason to think it will be on the blu-ray.

No, the show originally aired on TheWB with the original theme by Love Spit Love, and still airs with the original theme on TNT. I have each episode taped and on my PC with the original theme included.

The show originally aired with the original theme song, and still does on TNT and Pop. I still have my original airing with theWB logo on the bottom and the original theme.

The DVD has the same music changes as well I believe. The only way to get the original music is from TV airings.

Best Buy finally canceled and refunded my Seasons 7 & 8 pre-orders. Who knows when they are coming out.

I was about to post that I was shocked that they actually ended up releasing all the seasons. I know I was far from the only one that had doubts that they would since several other shows only got partially released on Blu-ray.

I guess they are still coming out eventually (if not already if FYE doesn't cancel orders)...
