WT? Universal 'screen saver'? - Blu-ray Forum

So I'm watching Casino, and have to pause the movie to go do something. I come back, and the Universal symbol is lighting my room up. I hit play, and guess what? Doesn't do jack. I hit all the other buttons, no way to get out of this screen. So I restart the movie, sit through all the goddamn loading/ratings/whatever, fast forward to the scene and, well continue watching. So about an hour later I gotta deal with something again, and I come back and have to deal with the same shit all over again. Is there something I'm missing? Why would they do something so MORONIC? Why can't the screen go black like every other goddamn Bluray? I never had a problem with Universal, and I'm not saying I'll boycott them or anything, but I sure as hell won't ever do anything but ***** about them from this point on.

Oh great, it just popped up again, on the title screen. Now I get to go through all this again. If this is me just missing something, I admit I'm dumb. I'll honestly think I'm the one at fault here before I think that a giant entertainment company like Universal would do something so pathetically retarded.

I dig the screensaver for those times i might have dozed off. I'd rather hit the ENTER button than have it sit at the disc menu all night.

I have had this problem w/ the fast and furious movies. Annoying, yes but I got the two I have at best buy for $12.99 sooooooooo

For my PS3 all I have to do is press the 'Pop-Up Menu' button on the remote and it goes away.

I was watching iPlayer on my PS3 and was impressed by how dark and moody a thriller I was watching got (the hero was underground), it took me ten minutes to realise the PlayStation's screensaver had turned on. I figured out the enter thing too, but would it have killed them to have set it up so that pressing "play" did the same thing?

The red button on the remote (what in the world do those colors mean anyhow?) always removes the screensaver for me.

Any directional button removes the screen saver on all the players' remotes I own.

Must admit it's stupid you have to hit the enter button to get you back to the movie you should be able to hit the play button also.
