Man of Steel 3D Blu-ray Steelbook

From the official Man of Steel UK Facebook page. 2nd December 2013 release with preorders open on Friday 23rd. Cover art is up too.

'We are delighted to announce that ‪#‎MANOFSTEEL‬ will arrive onto Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray 3D Steelbook, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital Download on 2nd December 2013. Pre-order will be available this Friday, 23rd August.'

Import for me then!! Should have it at the start of November if dvdworldusa ship in advance like they usually do.

Same here! Terrible release date wish it had been oct but the us one should be fast by dvdworld usa. Is it confirmed region free?

October and December are 2 months apart.
I mean us as in UK not as in United States.

I don't mind that we aren't getting it until December. Gives me a chance to put some money aside!

That steelbook looks intriguing, although I wish it didn't have a 3D disc in it that won't ever get used by me.

Does anyone know for sure if the US MoS edition will be region free?

I never know what studios realise region free and what don't!
I had ordered the UK Steelie, but so tempted to order the US edition in regards to NoExtraDiscOnUKediton-gate.

Waner Bros. almost always region free.

As a rough guide (there are always exceptions - for example when a company doesn't have international rights ):
20th Century Fox - Older titles locked, Newer ones tend to be Region Free (You'd be best to check first)
Criterion - Locked
Lionsgate - Locked (Some exceptions)
Paramount - Region Free (Criterion co-releases locked)
Sony Pictures (Columbia/TriStar) - Region Free (some exceptions)
Universal - Region Free
Buena Vista (Disney/Touchstone)- Region Free (some titles locked, check first)
Warner Bros. - Region Free

Cancelled my UK order and imported the US 3D edition. It's actually cheaper, and has all the extras. Up yours, Warner Bros.

I'm sure Warner Bros. UK will be soooooo pissed off that you ordered off Warner Bros. US. How will they cope?

It just pisses me off that we Europe customers always end up with the "incomplete editions", if you know what I mean.

Amazon.com would be my guess, it's currently £15.49 plus shipping.

Oops, sorry I meant that it would be cheaper than if I bought it from the UK, because then I would've wanted the steelbook. I ordered the standard 3D edition from Amazon.com, which is the same price as the 2D edition here in Portugal. Final price (including shipping) was 24.23€ (£20).

I don't really care, as long as I get all the extras on disc.
