I will have to wait until December to watch the movie but a couple of weeks isn't going to kill me as we have The Wolverine next week.
Well I ordered my Man of Steel from Amazon US yesterday and even though i hope it's despatched soon there's every chance that you'll have your UK copy before i get my US one Chip!

If you're not fussed by having bilingual covers Amazon.ca ship 48 hours as standard (hopefully that's still the case) so you could have it by Monday. I was hoping they'd stock the US release but they just have the Canadian copy (which should be identical). I was torn about getting it but I'd want our lenticular cover.

Really? Last time i checked Amazon.ca (which was admittedly a couple of years ago) their shipping seemed hopeless. 48 hours for no extra cost, internationally?

Cancelled my UK order and imported the US 3D edition. It's actually cheaper, and has all the extras. Up yours, Warner Bros.

I'm sure Warner Bros. UK will be soooooo pissed off that you ordered off Warner Bros. US. How will they cope?

That's the trouble with these bastards, they're inescapable...

Haha

It just pisses me off that we Europe customers always end up with the "incomplete editions", if you know what I mean.

Amazon.com would be my guess, it's currently £15.49 plus shipping.

Oops, sorry I meant that it would be cheaper than if I bought it from the UK, because then I would've wanted the steelbook. I ordered the standard 3D edition from Amazon.com, which is the same price as the 2D edition here in Portugal. Final price (including shipping) was 24.23€ (£20).

I don't really care, as long as I get all the extras on disc.

See that's what i had on pre order but after realising that we would be missing out on some awesome additional content and that I'd be paying roughly the same amount for an inferior release, i cancelled and ordered from Amazon.com. We need to send Warner UK the message that we're not happy about it!

I've got the standard £13 order with amazon.co.uk. You guys saying its cheaper and better from the US on .com?

Wont be cheaper but its better as the US release includes a bonus disc, the UK is just a single disc and drops the out on the enhanced version of the film and Planet Kryton feature.

I'm not really into watching the extra features so that's why I opted for this edition.

I've not ordered any version of this yet and was just looking on Amazon.com trying to find the 4 disc set... but I can only find a 3 disc listed.

Was the 4 disc a limited version that's already gone or has Amazon changed the listing?

Ahh - never mind, found the 3D four disc version!

I think I'm going to cave in and import a MOS

Has anyone brought in the Amazon.ca bi-lingual version? I'm interested in trying this out, as Chip75 mentioned a while back that the delivery is quick (and via DHL).

So, what is the difference between the Canadian and US versions in terms of the movies? Or is it simply packaging?

Cheers.

Yeah, just the packaging. The content will mirror the US release.

As far as I can tell it's just the bilingual packaging. So for £17+ you get what we get for £13 (BD+UV) plus the all important bonus disc and a DVD (which may be region locked but my Blade Runner DVD from the CE set was region free). It should turn-up in a few days too.
