Thumbs up Blu-ray Holds The Top 25 At Amazon!

I have never seen this level of domination for Blu-ray! Currently, Blu-ray holds the Top 25 sales ranks at Amazon:

I noticed that too, really kicking some ass!

I bet lots of people have new PS3s and BD players and want some stuff to play on 'em.

It would be good to note that this is actually not the first time an HD format has had all 25. Last week for example, HD DVD had all 25 because of their own sale. This just means that Blu-ray is at least as popular if not more so than HD DVD.
Besides, Amazon is hardly a good measure of the industry sales.

Nice to hear. Though it is only Amazon. I just wonder as far as volume and total units sold there how much it will outpace HD-DVD...

The amazing thing is that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Blu-ray) has been the overall #1 selling DVD for 24 hours now. That includes all HDM and DVD.

I believe that during the HD-DVD BOGO, they never controlled the Top 25. I think Piracts 3 and Planet Earth were always in the Top 25 during the HD-DVD BOGO.

I noticed this as well, pretty impressive to hold the number 1 spot over even DVDs.

Not to throw a wet blanket on this but this is 25 of the top 39. See the right column that says what position each Blu holds in top DVDs.

Which is still awesome!

Well I might be wrong (as I often am), but I was going by these numbers on this site: www.eproductwars.com/dvd

this shows that last week HD DVD had the most ever titles in the top 100... Blu-ray has not yet gotten that high, although on average BD does better and this BOGO is just starting...

Ah, I see. That makes sense. I guess I always assume Blu holds most of the top 25 since we're beating the living hell outta Red every week.
