Toy Story 4 takes it without question, but I’m suspecting it won’t crack $150 OW. Perhaps $135M-$140M. The way this summer has gone, maybe even lower.

I’m all over Child’s Play though. They’ll get my coin that weekend.

Incredibles 2 managed $182M this time last year (has it been a year already?) Wont be surprised if TS4 tops $150M.

I'll just leave this here:

Quote:
Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 4 hit tracking this morning and box office analysts are already buzzing that the fourthquel has a great shot at setting a new opening record for an animation film, besting Incredibles 2‘s 3-day last year of $182.6M. A $200M opening is not out of the question, and in the wake of Disney pulling out all the stops with exhibition on Avengers: Endgame for an all-time domestic start of $357.1M, why shouldn’t we even question Toy Story 4‘s forecast. In the tracking number tea leaves, analysts see Toy Story 4 doing about 10% better than Incredibles 2. Toy Story 4 opens on June 21.

Fandango and Atom Tickets are already reporting that the first day (Tuesday) of movie ticket presales for Toy Story 4 has already set a record for an animated movie and outsold Incredibles 2.

I'll be at the drive in with my nephew. They already announced it'll be Toy Story 4 + Aladdin and his parents nor I have taken him to see the latter for this reason.

All the right ingredients were there for the breakout weekend of Incredibles 2. The wait has been less for TS4, and the marketing felt a little weaker than that of I2, but it’ll still make serious bank regardless. Question is, will it actually surpass I2’s opening weekend? Maybe it could since it’s aimed towards more younger children than I2 was, and any other time I wouldn’t doubt Pixar.

This particular summer though, it’s anyone’s guess what people are saving their money for. I imagine this and Lion King are among the major options.

School just finally let out here this past week, so all signs point to families flocking out and making their kids happy.

Soon, there won't be enough billions left for Disney to make, they will have hoarded all the billions.

If it does manage to break I2's opening, I don't think it will surpass its domestic gross. But TS4 has zero competition the following week (I2 had Fallen Kingdom) so who knows.

TS4 will surely break records if the ticket sales are high, as Deadline projects. Regardless if it doesn't, it'll still make bank.

Toy Story 4 - A lot of money, but not sure where I'm predicting it yet
Child's Play - 11 Million
Anna - 4-5 Million

They really needed a name actress in the lead for Anna to do well.

I'm interested in all of the openers though. Child's Play I'm most excited for and then Anna and then Toy Story 4. I'm sure TS4 will be great from the sounds of it but I'm rarely excited for an animated movie. Still want to see it. And Wild Rose too if it actually does go wide.
