i got The Rock and Con Air today! - Blu-ray Forum

interesting that Best Buy put out one copy of both Con Air and The Rock out early in the regular section, not new releases or anything. i for one have never seen best buy release things early, let alone 11 days early.

anyways, i watched em both, and i gotta say they are sensational, the rock especially. love the scene where connery goes through the flaming vent.

The PQ/AQ on the Rock is fantastic? I must know, that's one I'm looking forward to.

it is fantastic. there are a couple of the dark prison scenes that show a little too much grain, but then they quickly revert back to amazing pq. the scenes showing alcatraz from the sky, etc, as well as the car chase scene are UNBELIVABLE...i give PQ a 4.8/5 and AQ a 4.5/5.

For the first time in my life, I'm looking forward to hearing what Michael Bay has to say.

Something along the lines of..."The Rock is 11 years old now, and it looks WAY better on Blu-ray than Transformers looks on HD DVD".

We need more Bay’s films on Blu-ray, come on Disney bring on the Armageddon. And Sony we cannot forget about you, we want Bad Boys and Bad Boys II. Nonetheless, we have Pearl Harbor on Blu-ray, thanks to Disney.

I'll be watching The Rock tonight too, as my best Buy had two of each (Rock and Con Air).

hmm, actually i think transformers looks better than the rock, but trust me the rock looks very good

yes, but i got one for free because the manager thought the buy 2 get 1 free hd dvd sale was for blu rays too and he checked me out...so i got mr. and mrs. smith, the rock, and conair for 60 bucks total, and then the kingdom, bourne, and fast and furious for 50 bucks total. good day for me
