Default CNBC poll how WB's move will affect HD DVD

Another Jim Goldman CNBC.com article and poll.
CNBC is owned by Universal so send them a message by voting here: http://www.cnbc.com/id/22507036

Poll question: "Do you think the move by Warner Brothers for Blu-ray pretty much is the beginning of the end for HD DVD?"

Ken Graffeo is the co-chairman of the hd dvd promo group for Universal.

Here are some of his quotes:

"What’s important is that HD DVD owns the lead in dedicated CE player sales and maintains a 4:1 software attach rate over Blu-ray, meaning people are purchasing four times more HD DVD titles per HD DVD player than Blu-ray." and
"30GB is more than enough space for a movie with reference quality video and audio, with plenty of room for extras." both from: http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/news/ne...-blu-ray.phtml

"The HD format is about stand-alone players, not game systems. We don’t think gamers will buy movies"
from:http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...t_IFA_2007/920

"Even if the other format were to eventually win, there's no risk. Because that HD-DVD player you buy will still play your regular DVDs and, by upconverting, will actually make the discs look better." from: http://www.cdrlabs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23407

Default CNBC poll how WB's move will affect hd dvd

G'day all,

I voted on the CNBC poll and saw the results and the fact that HD DVD backers still think that HD DVD will survive (last I saw was 15% I think) is ridiculous. What's wrong with them?

Who is the world would think WB decision wouldn't affect HD DEAD? Doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure out WB, #1 movie producer, will make BRay and break HD DEAD.

This guy is a dip #$@&. I remember when he wrote a biased story and listed WB as being HD DUD exclusive. Talk about jinx. I hope he says that this won't affect HD DUD that way we can be certain that it will die off sooner rather than later. GO BLU

People on highdefdigest.com are now claiming that WB received $450 million from the BDA to go blu-ray exclusive. http://forums.highdefdigest.com/show...8&postcount=24

That retard Jim Goldman is eating these words from his Nov. 1st article...

"This is about momentum, just as it is with Sony's Playstation. And once again, Microsoft and the HD-DVD folks have it. And Sony's looking for a way to re-capture it."

These guys just never stop.
It's just frustration boiling over. How would you feel if your fiance left you at the alter for the Blu-man group?

^I understand frustration, I feel bad for the people who invested in hd dvd and didn't spread lies, but where did they get this $450 million figure from?
