Can't say I'm surprised. Miller hasn't done anything good since the early / mid 90's.

He hasn't done anything good outside of comics to my knowledge. I remember when Robocop 2 was coming out I had such high hopes it'd have some wicked Miller story, but no...

Doubt, currently up for numerous Oscars,looks to be on track for an April 7 bow. Another heavily nominated film, The Wrestler, is rumored to hit the street on April 21.

Other rumored release dates include Adam Sandler's Bedtime Stories in early April, Catwoman (2004) on March 10th to tie in with The Batman Anthology set, The Princess Bride on March 17 and Marley & Me on March 31.

I am looking to get "The Spirit" this week but I never saw it while it was in theaters. Has anyone seen this movie and would it be worth a blind buy on blu?

The majority opinion is that it is a disappointment. I have not seen it, so maybe I should not even post here

. I would rent it first, and see if it is worthy (this is my plan). Remember, you might have to pay for the rental fee, but it could save you some $$$. Supposing you do end up liking it, you could wait a while until you find it at a good price (since you already watched it).

Ive gone back and forth about this movie. I have not seen it yet. I keep hearing mixed reviews, but i think after this thread, it'll be a rental first.

On its way from Netflix. Maybe very low expectations beforehand will help? Time will tell but at least the PQ and AQ are reported to be good.

Sorry to say but this is a horrible movie, one of the few times I wanted to walk out of the movie theater.

titan said it well, and i'm pretty sure it's going to fall under the category of great transfer, horrible movie. some may enjoy it, but since the majority did not, i would play it on the safe side and rent it before buying.

yes HORRIBLE movie......the only good things were the cinematography and Eva Mendez. I was really looking forward to this movie but it was just like a pile of random scenes with no substance put together very stylishly

I sat in the theater for 15 minutes until my friend and I decided to leave. One of the worst movies I've ever seen (and I only saw the first 15 minutes).
