Default Samsung's 8K TV - a Hypothetical question

Can someone almost guarantee me that in 7-10 years, Samsung's 8K TV (in which the 85'' is like 14,000 dollars right now) will go down greatly in price? Also, though the website only shows the 85'', they have a 65 and a 75? I think that's gonna be my next TV.

Of course it'll be cheaper in 10 years, it'll be obsolete.

You can bet buy the time 8K media is out, you won't be able to play them on the TV anyway due to something having changed. The HDCP version, the HDR format, etc...

It's silly to buy 8K now IMO as anything but a TV to upscale. For very large screens where you are sitting close and want smooth invisible pixels I'd guess.

How many of us bought 4K compatible equipment only to be scuppered by HDCP 2.2? A fair few of us I'd think. For me if was my supposedly 4K Marantz amp which I've recently replaced.
