Good, this is one of the few unreleased ones I'm quite interested in.

Honestly I always found this one to be a bit dull (certainly Tales of Terror is more fun). It's not a bad movie by any stretch but I always found it a bit dry.

However I'm powerless to resist Vincent Price on Blu so I have no choice but to pick it up.

Thanks to Kino for all the attention they've been giving to Vincent Price lately!

Between TALES OF TERROR, MADHOUSE & now TWICE TOLD TALES (plus PREMATURE BURIAL) I guess it's safe to say that Shout! will not be doing a third volume of Vincent Price movies.

Still waiting for a Region A release of THEATRE OF BLOOD though.

I think that TWICE-TOLD TALES had a lower budget than even the Corman/Poe films. The cast still manages to make it fun, although the sets look claustrophobic.

Good to hear that this is a new HD transfer, as the old MGM DVD was non-anamorphic 1:66-1. Day one for me.

Seems unlikely, they've made increasing steps to avoid things they can't release in both territories. I think Hellraiser was about the last announcement made before they said that was it for the UK-only stuff. Unless the Vincent Price movies were done under the Arrow Academy label (I don't think they were).

They could also add THE TINGLER, but I'd rather Shout! or someone else release that as part of a set of William Castle movies that includes 13 GHOSTS, MACABRE, HOMICIDAL and others.

Yeah, those would be just flying off the shelves

I want a double feature of the Dr Goldfoot movies even though basically no one on the planet likes them. Tim Lucas could even do a commentary on the second one!

Mill Creek is releasing the Mad Magician on one of those multiple movies on a disc pack (DVD not blu ray) . I dont see the Bat, but even with less than 10 Price titles left with MGM, a VP III set is still feasible and could be the last one unless SF makes a deal with Sony for blu ray rights of the Tingler and Mad Magician. Im not sure why no deal has been made with them since Twilight Time has one. I heard about Sony being strict on the extras, or lack thereof which may have caused SF to balk... ?

As for Twice Told Tales, i agree with drat - its a bore, kind of a meh, which surprised me due to the cast. I guess they all cant be a winner to some of us

not a very strong line-up though. I'm thinking that the cream of the remaining crop has been gobbled up by KINO and a 3rd set from Scream is looking unlikely...

Great news!

This is actually one of the first, possibly even THE first horror movie I recall having watched. It was on late-night German TV, which we could receive where I grew up, and of course dubbed into German.

Come to think of it, a good deal of the first horror movies I watched were dubbed into German, because German TV would actually show genre movies, unlike our own national TV, which thought it 'not wholesome'. Plus my parents were probably the last in Denmark to get a VCR.

I have fond memories of watching several Vince Price movies in German.

We are still missing Theater of Blood and Cry of the Banshee any word on who has these two titles? Would really love Banshee as I've never seen it and the DVD is OOP. Theater of Blood really needs released as well, one of Price's best.

Can't wait to add this and Tales of Terror to my collection. Had no idea Tales of Terror was already released. Finally got around to buying Price Collection Vol. II and would love to have these other two films replacing my current DVDs.

I wish that Tales of Terror and Twice Told Tales were a double feature like they were in the MGM Midnite series. I definitely prefer Tales of Terror but it would be nice to have both without spending $40 or so.
