Well, the rumors have started to fly off the shelf. First, someone said that in the downtown shot of the movie I am Legend there is a poster in one of the buildings of Batman vs Superman. While WB has said that there are no plans to put out a movie like this, there is already a movie in the works called Justice League of America.
Even though its old news, according to Rotten Tomatoes (Oct 9, 2007) the plot involves: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/just.../news/1678595/ Seven original members of the Justice League -- Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter -- are featured in an origins story about the superhero conglomerate. The plot revolves around villainous businessman Maxwell Lord and involves cyborgs called OMACs (One-Man Army Corps), who can take over humans and turn them into killing machines. There are epic battle scenes between Superman and Batman, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman, and League could spawn a slew of additional franchises if it's successful. And here's more news about the cast - http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/just.../news/1693807/. Could it be possible that this is Warner's way of saying that the movie is coming? I can't wait to see I Am Legend to confirm the poster. And btw, both The Dark Knight and JLA would look in Blu-ray, especially since by then profile 2.0 should be out. ![]() |

I read an article that gave a bit more about the plot. It could have been rumor but in a nut shell it's: The villian steals something from Batman that can be used against the League. In the books Batman had to take the League down, so this is not something new. Batman has always had a strategy to take them down if he needed to. With this what-ever-it-is in the villian's hands, it's up to Batman to save the day.
Surely Superman will be pissed to find out Batman has had this doo-hickey the whole time. Battle hard mo'fo's. Article was at superherohype.com some time ago. |

The OMAC/Brother Eye story from the comics was damn good, and I thought while reading it that it might make for a good movie. I hope they stick fairly close to the story.
COMIC SPOILERS My only problem is that in the comic, Lord kills Blue Beetle. No mention of BB in the new movie, and I hear rumors of a death in the movie, so I am afraid that plot element would be taken out on one of the core league members. ![]() END SPOILERS Still it has potential. Hopefully WB wont screw it up too bad. ![]() |

Yes, Superherohype and comicbookmovie both have info on this movie.
**Spoiler** From what I have read, it will be the original Justice League but Barry Allen (Original Flash) is dead and the JLA is at the funeral. So Wally West will be the Flash in the movie. They do seem to be using the OMAC storyline. **End Spoiler** The biggest problem other than the Writer's Strike is the cast for the movie. I don't think that any of the cast is over 30 and the guy cast for Batman is 21years old and looks it. Oh, forgot. They aren't using Hal Jordan for GL. I think "Common" has been cast as Jon Stewart. |

I will quote other people here, you don't need too many BIG NAME STARS in lead roles. (Of course we do realize that Sin City did have quite a few major actors/actresses in the film.)
You might check this out as who MIGHT be in the movie--these are rumors, mind you. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0974015/ |

I think that if you look at the running time of some of the latest blockbusters, some over 2 hours in length, I think it's safe to say that Hollywood is starting to learn this lesson. There's nothing worse than a great movie that's made good because of too much editing. And the idea that movie-goers don't want to sit in a theater for more than two hours has been pretty well disproven. Of course, so long as the movie is worth sitting over 2 hours to watch...

There was talk about this being a CG movie like Polar Express or Beowulf, which I thought would be cool . . . this is going to be hard to pull off without a monster budget, and I think Superman Returns may have scared them away from such a thing. Never was a big fan of Jon Stewart either, I've always preferred Hal Jordan.
They just need to make a Dark Knight Returns movie. It's pretty much ready to shoot, the comic reads like a storyboard. Bruce Willis as older Batman would be awesome. |

I think releasing this before the third batman film which will probably be his last by the sound of the comment above would be a pretty big mistake, people don't to see two characters portrayed by two different actors at the same time, imagine seeing Routh & Bale as Batman & Superman & then going a week later to watch JLA and the roles of Batman & Superman are played by somebody else totally, it would not look just weird, it's a good way to cause confusion to a good extent
Warner would want things like this to stay in place i think & will hopefully not release something like this while stand alone Batman movies & Superman movies are being made |

I think Bale made a good batman, but I didnt like Routh. I think Tom Welling from Smallville would make a better superman then Routh. That IMO.

to be honest a lot of kickass movies will be postponed for awhile until the producers step off their high horse and give the writers the extra 4 cents per movie. They've proven their point. You can't make movies without writers.
