I am definitely preordering this title. I have maybe seen one episode as it premiered pre-dvr (in my household) and I found it difficult to find the widescreen episodes. Since the DVD was not widescreen, this will be a real treat.

I'm ready!

Nice find.... FOr people who cant get link to work, at work perhaps?

all 26 episodes running 575 minutes will come on 3 double-density "BD50" Blu-ray discs. The list price is $59.95 (meaning you should be able to pick this up in stores around $40-45 "street price" after retailer discount) Other specs are not listed yet for this release, nor are extras. The original DVD Release of the first season back in March 2006 was loaded with bonus material, though, so we expect to see at least the same supplements on the Blu-ray release (and hopefully a little bit more)

Depends on the source material of course, as with everything. But most animation does indeed have a noticable difference in hi def. Crisper lines, darker blacks, and mor evibrant colors that 'pop'.

Enough to rebuy? I say that depends on each person's preference. I personally probably would rebuy, but I've heard many people out there say upconversion is good enough for them.

edit: I would say best way to go about it is, if you are thinking about it, dont buy it on release. Wait for some reviews to come out, and maybe some screenshot comparisons to hit before deciding for sure.

I'm excited for this one. I don't own this on DVD and have never seen these but I really liked the movie released recently so for $40 I'll likely buy.

Lets hope amazon will set preorder for $27 or $35? I def will buy box sets or seasons at amazon, it seems cheaper there.

Well the $40 is what it would be with a standard amazon 33% off. I wouldn't expect lower than that unless it gets included in some sale down the road.

It's almost 10 hours of HD on 3 BD-50's so I think it is a bit much to expect it for the same price as a single movie.

As long as it's the Widescreen versions of the episodes, it's an Upgrade for me.

I'm going to have to rent/download a few eps before I jump in, but this is very cool news.

If sales do well, I could see Batman: The animated series coming somewhere down the line (unless they are still a bit worried about offering fullscreen material, which I can understand)

I don't know about anyone else, but i was disappointed by the last Justice League Blu-ray movie... quality-wise. There was some serious banding in the sky that was just too distracting to really enjoy the movie.

But I look forward to the series on Blu.
