Default UHD Shop

Can anyone recommend a good replacement USA blu-ray/uhd supplier to replace Deepdiscount as I have been have customer service issues with them. Someone other than amazon because they redirect you on uhd and blurays to my local amazon. The place must ship to Australia.

thanks all

If you're avoiding Alliance Entertainment (DeepDiscount/WowHD/ImportCDs/All Your Music etc etc) you'll have very few choices.

I use Stackry.com (send stuff from B&N, Kino, Shout! etc to their locker) and then send to me in the UK but I still heavily use AE (especially when WowHD have a sale or AYM on eBay with their always running 25% off) as they work out cheaper.

I've been using DD/AE for decades the very very rare problem is always sorted.

My last Stacky.com order had 14 items from multiple sources and cost £35.00 shipped to the UK. I have another 15 items sitting the now. They hold items for 45 days so I use that as my shipping date.

If you don't want to use Amazon or DeepDiscount, your only option is a reshipper (outside of some boutique labels that might ship here).

OrbitDVD and DiabolikDVD are always good bets.

I'm curious if someone can explain why Alliance have so many sites why don't they just have 1 it would make more sense logistically.

sometimes you order from one of their sites, and the invoice inside has the name of another on it.

they must work out of one building.

They've been around for a very long time and have bought other brands as they went. WowHD used to be UK/Hong Kong based until they were bankrupted by the UK music industry.

I use several of their stores they list stuff by UPC/EAN and it's obvious there's not one single database for AE (or maybe they choose not to list certain titles) as different items are missing from different sites.

If AE shut down it would be very expensive for a lot of importers.

As you're in Australia it's best not to write them off unless you have deep pockets.
