Looks like everything included here is already available on the existing 4K collection. Bummer.

...except for these bonuses:
Quote:
* It's Not the Holidays without Charlie Brown, Charlie Brown! (Featurette)
* Brand New Audio Commentary for It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and It's a Charlie Brown Christmas.
I wonder if the documentaries from the previous Warners releases of the "big three" specials and the original mono soundtracks will be ported over (again)...

I wonder who did the commentaries. Slightly surprising it doesn't make any mention.

They should call it..."It's Another Re-Release, Charlie Brown"

I'd rather see Blu-ray versions of these at last (along with the supplements ported over from the individual releases):

[/img]

Does WB think these aren't worth transferring to Blu? Pretty much all of them have gotten new HD restorations a few years ago and are ready to go. You'd think the Warner Archive would be all over this. Instead, we keep getting the same main holiday specials re-released every couple of years. This is, what, the 3rd? 4th time?

I agree, we really need decade sets on Blu-ray, with the original mono sound restored. But I doubt that will ever happen, even the recent 'Peanuts by Schulz' series had terrible treatment by Warner Bros. on DVD.

This one was released on DVD by Magna Pacific in Australia, they released several Peanuts specials on DVD before Warner Bros.

Charlie Brown would say "it seems like we have another blu ray release of our TV shows to worry about!! It all just reeks of commercialism!"

The 4K Holiday Collection, the Decades Collections, the Emmy Honored Collection, and the DVDs for "You're Not Elected" (which includes "He's a Bully") and "I Want a Dog For Christmas" are plenty enough for me. I wouldn't mind having the new Blu-Ray collection's bonus disc on its own, though.

I also have digital HD versions of "You're Not Elected," "Be My Valentine," "You're a Good Man," and "Snoopy's Reunion" on FandangoNow, "Happy New Year" on Amazon Video, and the complete "This is America" series on Vudu.

There are also three sets of three specials in HD on FandangoNow, but for some strange reason, they are rent-only.

Last year’s Target exclusive Peanuts Holiday Collection set was pretty good as it had the extra shorts on Blu-ray that were previously only available on the 4K set. Digital copies as well. Came in a nice slip box. That’s the one I have.

I bought the individual releases, I can't in good conscience buy a "holiday" collection that leaves off at least three holiday specials.

I have always loved Peanuts, I'd buy everything they put out on BD... as long as it's not the same 6-now-9 things over and over.

So are the commentaries new to this set and not on any of the previous ones? That's the only thing here that really has my interest but I have zero need for that big Snoopy dog house.

And the 70th anniversary of Peanuts is next year. Come on, WB.

With all these reissues they’ve done of these same specials over the years, you’d think they would do an actual complete collection for once, even on DVD, but nope...
