    Re: The Outsider

It is revenge-times for true Stephen King fans.
From a King fan since 'Salem's Lot' I have noticed over the years, the more casual King reader criticism is about King's 'convoluted' endings and how they don't hold together very much. Personally, if I had never heard this criticism, it would never have occurred to me.
I have read dozens and dozens of King books and it was never an issue for me. It is the question that the concept asks of us (me), NOT the resolution. Horror is about the QUESTION.... What if?...
Leave it to comedy, drama, and fantasy to tie everything in a bow at the end. The stories I most love in the medium of horror and that I remember, are the ones that took my mind places, that were challenging ME to answer.
This show was like Heroin to an addict. Yum.
    It FELT like King.
For me it wasn't NEW King, but sort of an updating.
It was like, hey, my questions are still here!
    I hope there's more.

Hey, I noticed on your review of Scoob! that it's a one-disc release, but you had put that it was a 2-disc edition down in the review.

Your religious pomposity is GLARING... and beyond obvious. Your attitude is what eye-rolling is about. You hide behind 'Kirk Cameron' is bad, to show how objective you are, when that is merely an obfuscation of your hyper-subjective religious rabidness. 'Agnostic' is a label for the likes of YOU to spew. Confusing fantasy with reality is YOUR problem, NOT the people you try to categorize. YOU are to be labeled.... RELIGIOUS. Don't point away from your psychosis.

    I'm wrong.
I thought you were implying a religious outlook.
    you weren't.
    My apologies to Randy.

Hi Randy. I wanted to let you know that Audio Mechanics did the sound restoration for Mystery of the Wax Museum. You gave the sound a nice review (thank you!) but you mentioned that you had little information about it. I'd be happy to fill you in on any other details.

Hi, Randy. Just wanted to correct a very minor detail, re: the review of Sliding Doors. You mention "a few odds and ends also found on a 2019 Region B Blu-ray," when, in fact, we didn't consciously use anything that was included on the Icon release in the UK. Even the audio commentary is brand-new to our release. Unless you're referring to the inclusion of a trailer, nothing is ported over from a previous release. While Icon did have access to some of Peter's home movie footage, we used SO much more and created a much longer piece from it. Thanks for the kind review.

Hi Randy - I tried confirming with Warner Home Video that Warner Archive television classic- Man From Atlantis 'pilot movie' blu-ray was sourced from a new 2K digital scan, but W.H.V. never got back to me.

I have the two 2011 Warner Archive DVD releases and recently acquired the pilot movie blu-ray. I was wondering how this information became available to you. I tried researching on the subject and found nothing. Perhaps you can help?
    Thank you.

Randy - Regarding the audio on the Shining 4K...I agree the music seemed a bit divorced from the dialog/sound effects but I thought that gave it a more eerie feeling than ever. I had no issue with the volume levels. I do believe, however, there is some sync issues at a couple of spots. Most noticeable about 1:19:30 (? - not at the disc) when Jack and Wendy are sitting on the bed talking after the incident in room 237. Noticed it a bit in the first scene with Lloyd the bartender as well. Thoughts?

You should've mentioned in the review They Shall Not Grow Old that it was presented in 3D in the theater for some showings. I saw it and it was totally worthwhile. Shame there isn't a home video release in 3D.

Thanks for the heads-up! That was likely a glitch in the site's automatic date entry, which was also keeping my review from appearing earlier in the day when it was originally submitted. (Incidentally, 11/30/99 is the default value.)

The review date of your recent Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald Blu-ray review says November 30, 1999, even though it should say March 2, 2019. Fix it!
