Hi,
Do you think Netflix will release physical copies of their movies and TV show in the future? Not that I don't like Netflix, but I really like to "own" my own stuffs to watch and watch again... I know you can buy a subscription and watch the movies again, but you still don't own the movie, so if you unsubscribe, you just can't watch anything. |

Which would fall under "the studios that actually produce them" because it's made by Paramount for Netflix. Strangers Things is the only show made by Netflix for Netflix that's been released. Not sure which Netflix-produced movies are available, that'd take more research than I'd care about lol

Idk if you already know this or not (like I’m not trynna be a know it all I’m just sincerely saying in case you don’t) but the criterion collection has released several of Netflix’s movies onto blu ray (particularly their Oscar movies). I think they’ve also released some seasons of 13 reasons why and stranger things physically as well. But it really seems like they only release their most popular/acclaimed shows and movies so I really don’t know abt a lot of their movies (there’s even still some acclaimed ones like buster Scruggs that aren’t out)

This is what I've said in the past: lease the prestige titles to Criterion, lease the niche material to Shout (imagine a two disc collector's set of the "Babysitter" movies) and figure something out for the more up in the air/critically panned releases. |

Mostly shows that were made by other companies that get it, albeit by agreements for it to come out on disc much later(and never on 4K, sadly). But Netflix isn't exactly shying from releasing their own content on Disc, Roma, Marriage Story, and The Irishman were licensed out to Criterion to be released. Stranger Things mostly by them as a Target Exclusive.
