Default Cinemax's "Banshee" (Season 4)

Anyone else catch the Pilot for this show on Cinemax over the weekend? (If not it replays like 100 times this week lol) I thought it has a very interesting premise and the pilot was really well done, I just have the free weekend thing this weekend from DirecTV put it looks like I might actually spend the money to subscribe just so I can keep up with this show, it kind of has a Justified type vibe to it

I saw a commercial for it and it looks interesting, but I don't get Cinemax.

I dont have Cinemax but was interested only because they filmed some of the scenes right down the street from my house.

I saw the Pilot. The show has the potential to be pretty good. I'll be sure to at least catch it on demand going forward.

What an awesome show, can't believe this thread has only 2 pages. Shame it's such a long wait for season 2.

Anyone who likes Antony Starr because of Banshee needs to watch Outrageous Fortune. He is a phenomenal actor with a superb knack for comedy that it borders on eerie.

Yep his two roles in that are completely different from each other as well as completely different from Banshee.

I recommended this show to one of my coworkers, and he said his wife didn't like it because it had too much sex in it, but they are big Game of Thrones fans. Do you guys think this show has more sex in it then Game of Thrones?

Always better to end on a high note than drag out some mediocre seasons.

I saw the tweets from Jonathan Tropper, who is one of the show's EPs and writers, saying they decided to make this the final season when they were mapping it out. They wanted to go out strong than try to stretch things for a 5th season, which was the original plan.

Still sad that it's ending. I know this show isn't for everyone and is quite absurd and over the top, but I think it's one of the best premium cable action serials to come in the last decade along with Strike Back. Too bad both are ending and Cinemax is essentially starting from scratch now with their scripted dramas. The Knick is okay, but it was hardly must see TV. A period medical drama with some gore didn't really have the "It" factor that Banshee and Strike Back had.

Can't wait to see what they're going to do with 8 episodes. This show has been one of my primary "Must watch" shows since it started.

My favorite, currently running, tv show. Super bummed it's the last season, but I'm glad they're doing it on their own terms. I'm sure nobody is going to be disappointed. I am going to be pretty bummed at the lack of Lili Simmons in my life after it's over.
