Default Sopranos withdrawals

It's almost that time of the year when new Sopranos episodes would air for the first time, and I am just so bummed that the series has ended. There is nothing on TV that comes close in terms of the acting, writing and balance of family/soap/sitcom and crime/drama themes. Falco deserves a lifetime achievement award just for her performance as Carm.

The show was a high water mark for TV. Anyone else having problems living without it?

I hope HBO gets off its duff and issues seasons 1-5 on BD soon!

I hate when the topic is even brought up -- it is very painful.

Big Love and House are my replacements, but nothing can replace the Sopranos.

I am really interested in watching this (I love mob movies) but I dont have cable/satellite. I could start with the DVDs but I decided to wait till season one is available on Blu. I was tempted to get season 6 on Blu though, but Ill wait.

my fiance and I are now getting into the Lost series. We were looking for a series to get into after the Sopranos as well and this was a good choice. We are half way through season 1 and are loving it. We got started when I was able to pick up season 3 on BD from amazon when they had that one day sale for $39.99. For anyone looking for a series to get into, check it out.

Sopranos is definitely a show that stands out from the crowd. I'm sad that it's gone too, but here are some other EXCELLENT shows you could consider:

- Prison Break
- Lost
- Entourage
- Deadwood
- Heroes
- Jericho

Yeah, I wish it could have gone on, but I did LOVE the ending - perfect.

Of all the shows I've ever watched, Lost is the one I most wish I could watch from S1 again without knowing anything.

It's so good. I envy where you are right now.

My favourite show is 24 (Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 5)
