Ive been thinking of getting a 7.1 hdmi reciever. The only problem is my blu ray player (Sony B-300) only has one HDMI out put, I wouldnt want to sacrafice the HDMI connection for picture so how would I hook up a HDMI reciever? Would I just have to get a blu ray player with multiple HDMI outs or is there another way?

not sure I understand your question... I'll take a stab anyway..
If you add an HDMI receiver, it will have 2+ HDMI inputs, and 1 HDMI output. It will act as a switcher based on where you assign the inputs. BD player>HDMI>Receiver input 1 (assigned to DVD) Receiver Ouput>TV edit: It should display the video the same as your BD player (video pass-through) Last edited by Slec; 02-06-2008 at 12:36 AM. |

That's why it's called an A/V receiver. It switches audio and video. If it supports HDMI, then thats perfect!
