hooking up ps3 via hdmi - Blu-ray Forum

hello peeps,

I am trying to hook my ps3 to a friends hdtv to make sure it works right before I purchase one myself. For some reason, when I hook the hdmi cable up from the ps3 to the tv, all that comes out is sound, there is no picture.

anyone have any ideas on this?

that did help, thanks man.

My video output settings now say 1080p (my friends tv does 1080p), and my dvd upscaler is set to 'normal'.

Am I now good to go as far as watching regular dvds?

Yes, if you have updated your PS3 firmware, you are good to go.

Leave it on Normal, and all should be fine.
