Default Laughs: Fanboy stretches for the "truth"

I had to laugh at some of the things this guy posts on his site and couldn't resist commenting. Here are the links:

Here he quotes a 2006 Intel memo. It is like saying Warner supports HD-DVD - a bit outdated.
http://ilovehddvd.com/hd-dvd-news-wh...-hd-dvd-format

Here there are some great logic stretches:
http://ilovehddvd.com/hd-dvd-opinion...-dvd-revisited

Here he tries "5 reasons not to get a Blu-ray player":
http://ilovehddvd.com/hd-dvd-war-5-r...blu-ray-player

Make sure to read my comments on each before he deletes them - I tried for a bit of humor.

oh dear...

This war will not be won by studio support alone.
Indeed. It will be won by marketing presence, hardware penetration, weekly disc sales, studio support, retail support, CE manufacturers' support...

In other words: it has been won. By bluray.

Oh and this:

HD DVD War: 5 reasons to not get a Blu-ray player - Advantage: HD DVD!

Caveat: Does anybody really watch those PiP-enabled commentaries? Or want updated trailers downloaded from the Web? Beyond the hardcore cinephiles, I think the answer is a big “no.” In other words, if you’re among the vast majority who only wants to watch the movie, you’re not really gaining anything with a 1.1. or 2.0 player. Those older Blu-ray players should play everything else on the disc (the non-playable features are just grayed out on the menu). With the older players hitting the discount racks to make way for newer models, getting a Profile 1.0 player is a nice way to score a Blu-ray player on the cheap ($300 or less).
Hahaha.

If no one watched PIP features, DVD would have abandoned them, HD DVD would not have required 2 tuners as part of the format and Sony would not have built it into the Blu-ray standard Profile 2.0. Obviously there is a demand. Additionally, PIP features have been a part of HD DVD standard since Day 1. Advantage HD DVD. HD DVD 1 BD 0.
I want to know how many HD-DVDers actually use this stupid feature. When I watch a film I don't go and turn on the audio commentary ever!!! If I don't listen to it, theres no way in hell I'll ever watch it.

Remember the feature they were talking about a couple months ago where you could have group movie watching with other DUD members on line. Someone from Little Rock puts the movie on pause to go take a dump and everyone else has to s_it around waiting for the guy to finish and resume play? Now thats a winner of an idea aye?

I can do that with Blu-ray. Oh wait, I have REAL LIFE friends, and not friends that are on the internet. So I pause it while they are actually sitting at MY house, and not in some other country.
