Default Starman (1984) (Collector's Edition)

https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...roduct_id=6915

Quote:
Synopsis
"One of John Carpenter's best films." – Christopher Null, Filmcritic.com

When his spacecraft is shot down over Wisconsin, an alien (Jeff Bridges) arrives at the remote cabin of a distraught young widow, Jenny Hayden (Karen Allen), and clones itself into the form of her recently deceased husband. The alien coerces the shell-shocked Jenny to drive him to a pickup point hundreds of miles away, explaining that if he doesn't meet his mothership in three days, he'll die. Hot on their trail are government agents, intent on seizing him, dead or alive. En route, Jenny turns from captive to captivated as the alien re-awakens her humanity ... Starman is "a wonderful film that combines science fiction, road movies, and romance into an engaging, very entertaining whole" (TV Guide)!

[Show spoiler]Just announced at Comic Con.

“Starman” feels more like a Shout Select than Scream but I’m all in!

Cool. Hopefully they can port over the JC/JB commentary that's on the Australian DVD release.

Awesome. I could just have the original UK DVD features and would have been happy. If the do and have so many new one's is a great bonus.

I still miss the old John Carpenter Forum.

Scream makes sense because it's a Sci-fi movie and Scream does sci-fi, horror and thrillers with suspense remember?

I can't wait to get this one in October on pre-order! should be a nice upgrade to my old DVD, i enjoyed this since i saw it on HBO back in 85.

But The ‘burbs & Kalifornia are more horror than this, yet they are Shout Select.

Yes it's odd Scream didn't use those movies for their line.

I'll get this one for sure.

Anyone remember the old TV series with Robert Hays? I used to watch that with my mom when I was a kid many moons ago.

Awesome! More Carpenter from Scream is always welcome on my shelves. Hope they can port over the Carpenter/Bridges commentary.
