Couldn't find a Captain Marvel 2 thread surprisingly, but they confirmed today it's called 'The Marvels'.

Bit of a poor title if you ask me. It doesn't really communicate that it's a sequel to Captain Marvel. It should have been called 'Captain Marvel Presents The Marvels'.

For some reason Captain Marvel threads always have a bunch of drama in them. Idk why tbh the first wasnt even good enough to take a stance on one way or the other.

I like the Captain Marvel movie, it was ok, kinda shocked Marvel changing the title and focus on the team instead of their lead character. Maybe they are afraid of the Brie haters and the marketing for this movie.

People aren’t happy unless they repeatedly let you know they have a personal vendetta against Captain Marvel and Brie Larson.

Those films all have the name of the previous film in the title. If those other films followed the same logic as this one, you'd have:

Winter Soldier
Civil War
The Insects
Multiverse of Madness

I agree. Kinda a weird title. I jokingly said sounds like a sitcom with the title.

If you didn't know it was a CM movie. The normies might not know from title alone.

Second he mentioned Carol not Captain Marvel. So I was referencing other ensemble movies.

It's called The Marvels because it's clearly a team up movie with 2 characters who share similar names. I don't see why that's so hard to understand.
